    How does that work?

The bloke that has it will let it go for $3k I am sure and I can guarantee that its a good unit with 12V starter everything.
When we were looking for one, there was nothing under $4500.

Just a thought if someone wants a low kay Isuzu.
I bought 2 for that price, one for 1.5k with 93,000k on it with LT95bellhousing, the other was a 2k stage 1 with 230,000k on it and a rebuilt LT95 yet to be used

    Yup

I've probably had my greasy hands on, or had something to do with more than most

Reckon the engine'll be fine, might be a lot of work needed on the rest of it after 800kK.

Assuming you're not using it as a donor.

Ideal for your son, quite cheep to run fule wise, and at 2K i would say it needs some work or will need some work so what better way to start to learn, better than some ricer and scraping your kid of some lamp post.

They don't come up often around here If it was local I'd grab it for a future conversion and parts Even if it was tired. Cost me way more to drop a 24V truck jobie in if I had to purchase all the bits.

No worries, just trying to help with a good motor at what I thought is a great price.
    No hard feelings.

Had heart attack and was given a stent, so put looking at the Izuzu on hold, but paid a deposit on it yesterday [it had been sitting unused for two years, but heard it running last night], and hope to pick up the LR this afternoon. It is a 81 Series 3 LWB with the Izuzu 3.9, buying it from the original owner, and he rebuilt the Rangie 4 speed gearbox in it, and it will have 6 months rego. Last night he put in a new lift pump to get it going. Hope we are doing the right thing in buying it. Am thinking of putting motor and gearbox into our 90 rangie, which has thrown the timing chain on its V8. Still have to find out if the NSW RTA will let the old diesel be put into a later RRC body. Found out last night about another cheap Rangie 4 sale, 1995 I think, so it might be put into that one. Any links on converting RRC to 3.9 Isuzu, when we already have it in the 81 Series 3--that is do not need to buy bell housings, etc., for the conversion. Will be reading posts in Isuzu section to find out if we are doing the right thing.
