    Cheers guys.

Got a phonecall last night from the recruitment officer at SUR just making sure I have everything I need, few words of advise and a quick email with hints.

Everything's ready - suit pressed, map in my iPhone (to ensure I get there in time)... and we'll see what happens.

Fitness is not an issue, at least for the pre-enlistment fitness check.

I have been told about the informal assessment - that's what the stand-up lunch with the board is all about... manners!

Anyway, I'll give you guys the rundown on Sunday night, but won't know the results until later next week or even later depending on how fast they manage do get things done.

the reason it takes so long is because you are a reservist.

the best thing you can do as a reservist (assuming your employer will allow it) is to go for some full time service as soon as you can.

deal with the delay till you get the recruits course done, get to your unit and then speak with the ops guys whom you'll meet as part of your unit induction, (I had extensive close liasons with the 8CSSN crew when I was working at 1/15rnswl as we used their trucks to move the buckets around if that crews still running the place or the new lots running in their foot prints you're laughing) put forwards you're desire to get trained and if they can arrange for some full time service to fall over the top of some full time courses that have vacancies then you'll get qualled in no time.

there are only so many chokko friendly courses run per year and theres lots of chokkos to train.

Only for his age group? Thats a bit harsh.

He he I programed the system that decides if you passed or failed the BFA.

Errr excuse me BUT -you dont like waiting & you want to join the Army Reserve ???

I think the Army's "hurry up & wait" training is well into the course so I think you need to do one of those pre- course courses on waiting- but I think there is a waiting list for them

Good luck, its worth the BS but I did my green suit days back in the 70's so maybe the waiting thing is no longer.

    Would be very easy.
I have offered to do it for the right price but no one trusts me yet.

I would have thought an auto pass was already built-in. After all, the army kept modifying and modifying the BFA until it became virtually impossible to fail!
