    Isnt Sydney University Regiment a combat unit? If it is there will be a lot of weapons and tactics training and not much driver training requirements. I was an infantry soldier for a few years and did two peacekeeping tours overseas where I was required to drive anything on wheels basically. I guess best info for anyone new joining the forces is grab every opportunity thats offered.

    Thanks guys.

    Sydney Uni Regiment is part of RMC (Royal Military College Duntroon) - most university units/regiments are ie they are there to train officers, however there is also a transport unit at Sydney uni... whether it is a combat unit, I don't know.
