Oh, no question of that - they are four wheel independent suspension, which of course means my description "portal axle" is inexact - but they do have the key feature of a portal axle, which is a hub reduction gear enabling the drive axle to be set above the centre of the wheel, so that drive can be provided to the wheel without reducing ground clearance to an unacceptable figure and at the same time avoiding an excessive angle on the driving shafts.
