    Well done mate.
I still have 2.5 years left in my Mechanical Engineering Degree. Can't wait to finish and start earning money. Hopefully these late nights of study pay off someday.

    again, well done
    Cheers

It is not just your industry. The post grad course in GIS I am doing is looking less and less of a good idea. Before they would take anyone they could get their hands on and now for the few grad vacancies around they want you to have an experience list a page long!

By having the experience you got in your year off you will be well ahead of the grads who worked at Maccas.

    Well Done Dave!!!

So is the current place you are working going to keep you on?

There still seem to be lots of jobs around for experienced engineers (in most fields). It is the people with 0-3 years experience who are having trouble.

Well done Dave. I know how hard it can be going back to study after work, I went back to do a degree after 10 years in the workforce. My wife just finished her Phd last year after a 12 year slog part time. Talk about tenacity.
