That's a super shot of the Eiffel Tower, Tim!

I was there last week and the thing that struck me about it was its colour....a much more bronze shade that the dark steel of the harbour Bridge, for example. I really like it, particularly in the setting sunhlight when it goes that lovely orange.

Shame about the cigarette butts though - very Paris!

I didn't get to see the view from up there because I wasn't about to waste any of my holiday queueing for things....so I took the girl of my dreams to the grass, threw down a blanket and we cracked open a bottle of champagne as the sun went down and all the tower lights came on.

Fantastic place. Worked a treat too. I now have a girlfriend. Thank you, Paris!

Interesting fact - Gustav Eiffel helped build the interior structure for the Statue of Liberty that was built as a gift to the Americans.
