You could add "spacing" to your list.... eg, fence or power poles.

Even as a thumbnail on my 10" pad, he stood out like the proverbials. An out of place dark patch that caught my eye immediately.

Under a leaden sun, two vacationing secretaries were riding bicycles.
When they found a cool river by lush green trees, the gals stopped to swim in the only bathing suits they had brought . . . nothing at all!

Thirty seconds later, an Army jeep pulled up alongside the road. A soldier, dressed like a leopard, jumped from the vehicle and hollered, “Third Camouflage Section, MOVE FORWARD!”
And all the beautiful trees marched away.

It had me stumped for a few seconds. At first I thought we were looking at a close up of some small stones and crushed concrete.

shadow includes cast and contained for example...

the shadow from his hat is a contained shadow as it doesnt cast on the ground. you wouldnt spot it from an elevated angle but looking up at it its obvious.

if his hat was leaving a circular shadow on the ground that doesnt look natural then it would be a cast shadow.

Still looks like a bunch of rocks to me. He'd be dangerous at a K or two away though.
