I wonder if any of the Northern residents of New South Wales can tell me if there are any Platypuses, Platypi, Platypus' in their area?

The scientific name Ornithorhynchus anatinus is derived from ορνιθόρυνχος (ornithorhynkhos), which literally means "bird snout" in Greek; and anatinus, which means "duck-like" in Latin.

What do they call Platypus young? Hint, it's not Puggle, that is the name of an Echidna's young.
