We just had to hear the squeal of the kitchen drawer that held the wooden spoons. Was enough to give you a cold sweat, while you racked your brain wondering what you did wrong, if anything.

In my house, I was forced to go and choose the offending item... I can remember my dad making me select a belt for the task one day and after ruminating on it forever, I stupidly chose the narrowest one... I 100% didn't make that mistake again!

My missus was #12 of 13 kids.

The perp had to go out and get a branch from one of the trees while the rest lined up.

Then they all copped it............... if they hadn't all scurried off like mice in the meantime.
