The zx80 was my first PC but turned into a laptop of sorts....

Picture the first mobile phones as bricks so my laptop was the size if a normal PC case but in the box had shelves for a 6 inch black and white TV, a shelf for a cassette player, a shelf for the cassettes and power board and the inside of the lid attached the Sinclair.

Totally portable but a BASIC setup.

My first program / game was battleship where you had the shoot a moving target....

I built my first computer in 1979 following instructions in Electronics Australia magazine. Signetics 2650 processor running at 1MHz, 1k RAM, 32 char x 16 line monitor, with the cursor fixed on the bottom line so it was like a typewriter or teletype. If you could afford to upgrade to 4k RAM, you could install a BASIC interpreter that occupied 1.6k, but I stuck with assembly language.

This reminded me of a car that lives not far from me. This vehicle is the owners daily driver. He was once pulled up in Shepparton and the reason was they wanted to get a photo of it with the police car in the photo.

    Note the roof.

    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

... and did anyone notice the Big Green Leaning Road-sign ?

    - seems the infrastructure of SA/Vic is just as unbalanced as some of it's drivers...

I think one of the greatest inventions is the mouse, can you imagine moving the cursor without it?
