It's lost the airy feel of a Land Rover - the command driving position.

RIP Bucko - Riding on Forever
Don't really like the look of the car, but some of the new tech sounds very interesting, particularly the "integrated electric rear axle" was wondering when hybrid tech was going to be developed to improve offroad performance.
I agree the electric rear axle sounds like a top idea... Only thing is i am not a fan of Hybrid cars, in my eyes they are for the people who like to look like they care about the environment... if you look into the amount of coal burnt in the mining, manufacture and shipping of these batteries the figures become alarming... Also what the hell do we do with all these batteries once they become obsolete?
I have read as i am sure many of you have an article comparing the impact of a H2 Hummer to a Priace (can't spell it THATS just how much i don't care about them)... Well the Hummer came out on top as far as impact goes on the environment... Plus you can get cars with unreal economy WITHOUT the Hybrid system. For example the new mini getting around with a Diesel gets 3L per 100Km! That is amazing! and its a nippy little car as well it has adopted systems such as auto shut off rather then idling
I seem to have followed a tangent getting back on track...
Yes windows to small for decent off roading, and the e axle system would work a treat in my books![]()

The first one looks like something out of Judge Dredd (what a magnificent film THAT was....)
Can't see the 2nd one as the link doesn't work for me.
If you want a car, buy a car. If you want a Land Rover, buy a Land Rover.
I can't see the point of these crossover things. They don't do either thing well.
Having said that, I have seen the body of a MGB mounted on a Rangie chassis - that was cool!
