Looks great, but as others have said, too pricey IMO. If you price all the extras as new parts + installation from places like ARB, it will probably ad dup to around the $6k mark, for bar, winch, towbar, CB, side steps, spotlights and a snorkel.

Doing the installation yourself would save you ~ $1k minimum, and if you were doing it on the cheap, you could probably halve the original cost.

On top of which, you'd get your to fit only what you want. - If it were me, I'd change the bullbar to a standard ARB bar and would replace the sidesteps with rocksliders for example.

What I'm getting at is, I'd compare it to prices of other 90's recently sold, price in how much you'd be prepared to pay for the extras and how important it is to get one in the next few weeks (give it a dollar value), sum it all up, and presto!

If you can wait for several months, I'd definately see what else is around. Even if you've really got your eye set on this one, how likely are they to sell it in a hurry at anywhere near their asking price? The more it sits in their yard, the more bargining power you have.

    Just some thoughts.

    Cheers

No hurry to get one. It is only going to be a weekend driver for playing, so I don't really n..e..e..d.. it at all (just ask my missus )

Have been looking off and on for six months, but not a lot on the market, and whilst the 4 yellow ones for sale might have been mechanically OK the colour was a no go for me.

There is another in Victoria for $29K, but it has higher KMs, and the front and the back tyres do not match, which makes me think poorly of whoever would do that, so I have not enquired about that one.

Just had to double check to see that what is in the photo is the same vehicle advertised. In their specs, they say "body coloured wheel flares" and "nudge bar". But the rego numbers match ................

Nice looking unit I reckon. Don't ask me about the right price though - I'll bow to the knowledge of those more familiar with such vehicles.
    Cheers .........

hahaha... I know exactly what you mean, I don't really 'need' either of my Landies, but they're great fun to drive and tinker with. The 90 is my weekend play toy, and the 120 (affectionately known as 'The Faithful') is being set up as a touring rig.

As the only car I really 'need' is my daily driver (a 3 cylinder Daihatsu Charade) - neither of the Landies are currently on the road. The 90 is waiting for an engine transplant, and the 120 is getting turboed / intercooled, and then converted into a dual cab. It's a great way to get to know the cars mechanically, and I save a bundle on labour costs ( ...so I keep telling myself).

    Thanks for the info.
There were holes where a roof console had been and the interior had a lot of dust, even though it looked like they had cleaned it. Sorry didn't look much more I was after a 110, was just humouring my daughter, who wanted a yellow one anyway.

    Hey Spudboy,

As you are looking interstate I passed a car yard in St. Leonards (Sydney) yesterday that has a green 90 extreme for sale @ $29k. Looks stock. The car yard use to be an Alfa dealership but now a car yard by the name of 'Prestige Motors'.

Don't know much about Defenders but if you are interested there might be somebody on here that could check it out for you.

Thought the same when I passed the yard and went to the same website. The yard is only open 3-4 weeks.

Anyway I work in St Leonards so if anybody wants me to check out it's year, KM's etc let me know.

You don't see too many with mismatched tyres.
