Have seen how many times a car goes in and out of QC before its even allowed to leave the factory. Each car is addressed individually. Even the slightest almost invisible blemish in the paint, its sent back to the booth to be done again.
This is the sort of thing that leaves these craftsmen heart broken. The amount of time, effort, skill and genuine love they put into them is astonishing.
And all it takes is 2 dip****s to screw it all up....

Newport Pagnell was the best. I went through in 86. QC was called the "rec bay".. rectification not wreck. After the final test drive all cars would be fitted with new brake pads & wheels/tyres. Not sure whether that still happens now.
