    Somebody, Anybody - Pinch Me!!

Just had some new carpet put down at home. We decided that once out of the house, certain items of furniture wouldn't be coming back in again. That meant a trip out to pick some new stuff.

Once picked out, we needed to pick up.......... but nothing to pick it up with.

The boot of the Falcon was too small, as was the cargo area of the rangie and Dad's disco. No trailer yet either.

It was then that SWMBO noticed a nice little Defender in a carpark, and began eyeing it off.

Now, she has always sworn that we will NEVER have a Defender.............NEVER!!!!

So I jokingly asked................"So, you wanna get a Defender now then, huh?"

To which she replied: "Yeah, I think we should."

It's not worth getting rid of the Falcon. It's too comfy, got great power, and great economy with the 5spd manual (800 - 1000K's per tank), sticks to the road like poop to a blanket, and we will get nothing back on it anyway. P38 will be a little costly on those long trips, and she's not impressed with the disco enough to buy one of those for herself either.......... so a Deefer it is.

Now I'd better find one before she changes her mind......... if she hasn't already.

    Get that in writing man
then get out there and find one

You're a lucky man. My wife actually loves mine and prefers it to a disco any day, as do I.
