    Lost Landy.

You should have said hello. I was there as well, with the KFM-Light mobile field kitchen and the HMMWV. My family really enjoyed the medi-evil displays. The scottish guards set up inside the fort was just brilliant.

The Pax Romana group sent a guy to hospital on late saturday with a sword to the head, and the Knights Germanica opened up the claret bank on Sunday with a similar incident.

The QLHF organise it, and if you are not a member of them you will need your own PL insurance. In fact, one group was refused displaying due to insufficient insurance.

Mim, Nick, Michelle and Andrew did a great job organizing it as well as the others involved and we will definately be back again next year. Meet you in the Tavern for an ale squire

    20th year next year.

You mentioned "in between canon firings" If you were one of the white helmets jogging around the 64lbers, your Bombadier was sharing a few bundy's in our tent on Sat night.

what you can get away with and what i can do are two vastly different things...

i get reamed one way or another no matter which step i take so tend to be more than a little reserved in what i do.....

I wasnt with the Scotts firing the 64 pounder guns, i was where we showed the effects of cannon fire on troops with solid shot & grape shot.
Theres always a chance of an ale or 2 at the tavern next year.
I have to say its quite a funny site to see early Sunday morning when you see vikings leaving the Red Army encampments & a SS Officer exiting a NVG (New Varangian Guard) tent in the wee hours lol.

Is it really 20 years since a couple of blokes not only had the idea of gathering all those re-enactors at Lytton Fort for a weekend each year but put the effort into making it happen for the first time !!!

I think it is QLHF's 20th year. This year was History Alives, tenth. At fort Lytton anyway.
