Why not a 4BD1 ? You just said yourself that they are better than a Tdi in another thread

I'd be keen to see a Japanese straight six turbodiesel in a RR/Disco.

a 6 is very hard to fit, I've done alot of measureing and procrastination over the years, but short of massive firewall mods, or front chassis crossmember mods, it becomes a difficult fit

Oh yea, I think I can answer that, Juliet would prefer an auto, so hence the 300tdi

    Shame really. A D1/RR with a 1HD-T and A440F would be lovely.

Look forward to seeing some pics of the 300tdi Auto conversion into the LSE. may be perhaps another mod to make the 300tdi run on fish and chip oil.

There is better and there is better... I wanted this vehicle to remain as factory looking, hence the Tdi, auto and all its accessories from a donor '98 D1. All of which will fit neatly into the engine bay and look factory when finished. The vehicle is also going to be returned to standard height and when I come across a complete EAS system, will probably be refitted too
The only departure from stock will be the LT230 transfer case.
I have already ordered some new seat heater pads and other bits to get everthing working again

I wanted a tough no nonsense capable for remote touring RR, (My Isuzu one) and a neat tidy smooth everyday vehicle cheap to run, hence the Tdi into LSE.
