Jeremy Clarkson, Sam Newman, Chaser, .... they're all paid to be controversial. That's why you watch them - a bit of controversy raises a bit of interest and gets people talking. Add a bit of humour and you've got a top selling show. If you like the topic/ controversy/ humour you watch the show. If you don't, you ignore it.
But there are limits of decency that even these sorts of people have to respect, as the 'Chaser' mob found out, and Kyle Sandilands just the other day. Its all right to have fun but grinding other people into the dirt in the process just isn't fair and its not right.
