    Except that the last outbreak was handled badly by Qld DPI and it sounds as if Qld Health have cocked up in this one

    As has been said, Hendra virus is carried by Flying Foxes and all my friends in Qld are very careful with what trees are near horse feed areas. The chances of survival aren't great if you contract it and horses are just destroyed, whether they recover or not.

    Horses in NSW came from Hendra-hit farm
