Oh well - I was impressed. Would love to be able to drive a big truck.

One day you may surprise us all Brian and say something positive. It is an achievement to pass your HR, particularly with over 90%, even if you can only tow a heavy trailer of up to 9 tonne. It may seem easy to you and me, but I did it for 35 years. I remember how pleased and proud I was to get my C class, (now HR) and the nerves and mistakes I made in the first few months (can still do that;)). The young blokes today do it a lot harder than we ever did, I'll lay odds you didn't have to even do a formal test.
Good effort dd,well done mate :BigThumb:
well done Matt :BigThumb:
do they supply you with a blue singlet and stubbie shorts as well, plus the bottle of attitude :Rolling::Rolling:;)
congrats Matt ... I'm mot sure what it actually means either but sounds impressive. ( and useful for employment )
I got mine two months ago, mines an open so it's synchro and non synchro and I was proud to not make any mistakes, the hill start and going from 8th down to 3rd without clashing the gears had me worried but I got through it.It's a good feeling and well done,I did have an advantage but,I did my non-synchro test 20 years ago when I bought my first 2a. Many moons ago, I was at a music group evening with a bunch of 'old dears'.
One of them was asking me about my experiences as a volunteer fire fighter. Explaining the size of our heavy tanker I mentioned that I would be getting a heavy rigid licence.
"Oh dear", she sighed, "You know it it is years since a young man looked me in the eyes and said he was getting a heavy rigid."
The saucy old devil, I wonder what she got up to in her younger days now.
cheers
