TJM make a fairly good attempt at a tidy bullbar i think they have got rid of the 80's mass of steel look just for the sake of it and have refined the whole thing

These are NOT made by ARB. The Defender Xtreme bullbars are made by a European manufacturer whose name I don't know.

The light units are made by a Spanish firm called Rinder, and the part number on the box as supplied by MLR Docklands, is HYM1176X1. It cost about $60, if I remember correctly. I purchased it about one year ago.

    Cheers,

And they bend 'Oh So Well' compared to an ARB....

TJM bars fold on impact..... Seen it multiple times....

Theres a reason ARB style bars are so 'substantial'

Are you sure? They are almost identical to the ARB bullbar, and to my knowledge are only fitted to AU market vehicles.

I believe they were made by an australian company but NOT ARB

I just bought a TJM one for my Puma, it looks better than the ARB one, though I don't have it fitted yet it gets done next week.

I wanted the side rails and steps also but ARB only to alloy steps for the Defender which are not what I want so I had to go TJM.

Anyway I am sure it will be better than a plastic one and may add a bit more of a crumple zone for all those cyclist that keep trying to get in my way.

I am sure they are not made by ARB. I was told by a LROCV member who the manufacturer was. My memory is that it was a European maker, but maybe it was South African.

I am certain about the light units, as I had to purchase one, and they were hard to get.

    Cheers,

    Lionel

Ah, OK - so a mate of a mate of a mate told you they were made in SA or Europe or...

Forgive me if I remain skeptical, but it sounds like chinese whispers to me...

    Google turns this up:
Had the same problem with my ARB Bullbar, the blinker lights were set into the bullbar with offset brackets behind the bar, when I approached ARB they told me that although the bullbar was manufactured by them it was made for OEM supply and the blinkers were supplied and fitted by others, consequently at this stage I am unable to get a duplicate and will have to fit an alternative by altering the mounting.

When we bought the bullbar for our car we were told the ARB and land rover one were the same. I should add that my car is an English build and did not come with a bullbar.
