Thank you Alice Springs and all central Aust for the top soil, just had 33mm of rain to wash it in:p
For those of you have not seen central OZ that was it blowing by in the dust storm.
In the 82 drought there was a farmer on the Peak Hill road out of Parkes with a sence of humour, he put a sighn up in his paddock by the road.
WARNING
PADDOCK CROSSING ROAD
You have to admire them when in adversity they still have a sence of houmour.
Cheers

Dust storm finished about half an hour ago. Now clear but cloudy, and still very windy. Also pretty cold! (15C)

Yesterday here was very windy , hot with lots of dust. Not pleasant at all.
This morning was quiet cool and apart form all the dust in the house, it was interesting to see the puffs of dust rising from my footsteps as I was walking on the grass.
There is a fantastic photo in the Birdsville pub of a dust storm about 2 years ago. The photo was on the front page of "the australian"newspaper.
anybody seen this photo?
