    More rules for Fraser

    Quote:
So far this year speed limits have been reduced on the island, loading roof racks has been banned and passenger limit in vehicles has been introduced. End of Quote

I like the idea of roof racks because some people do not have an idea about load limits.
I am worry about if in the future only "Tag along tours" will be the norm

The short news are HEREFraser Is tag along tours 'safer' - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

The Do Gopoders have a field day next thin will be Tag Along on the outback

Ther are more fatalities on the Hwy between Noosa and Gympie! what next? tag along on the road as well!

I think that all the 4WD clubs and forums have to start signing a petition before our freedom is gone

Doing a bit of reading it appears the roof rack rule and lower passenger numbers will only apply to hire vehicles...

Hopefully the same goes for the tour groups, keep the back packers in groups away from everyone else who is doing the right thing(mostly)

It would be good if some of the members can get a copy of this proposal so we know what it is happens.
It is important to us to find out if only applies to the rental vehicles and no to all the 4wd visitors.

OK, I rang couple operators (4wd rentals) and the rule only applies to vehicles that carry 11 people. Then they have to be in a tag a long convoy with a leader at the front on the convoy.

I any case if someone can find more about it would be Ok
