Just wired in the Engel---> Now with pics

Just had a fun couple of hours wiring in the Engel. Could not believe the cost of the bloody Engel plug!!! $50 for the screw on type. Unreal!! Cost me almost more for the plug than for all of the electrical stuff that I needed to make it happen. Anyway, she runs and runs sweet, so that is all that matters. Ran 25A cable from the deep cycle battery to the back of the disco and then soldered the plug and away she went.

    Has no-one heard of conduit?

Rubbing wires (especially on corrugations) = Fires

You are correct, but it is not too late. Split flexible conduit can be used on installations already done

This is a good opportunity to post THIS link for future reference

Nice job by the way and the Trojan batteries are excellent

    Cheers

Good job.......but $50 for a plug/socket. An Anderson plug of suitable amperage or a polarised 2 pin would have been much cheaper.

Das is true... but at least this wont come undone on corrugations... and I was in a hurry to get it wired by tomorrow... going to the beach and stuff. Most of the wiring is running in its own "conduit" under the kick panel (the black strip on the bottom of the floor) on the doors. I need to tidy up the wiring in the engine bay (previous owner) and then I only have 40cm or so out the back to cover.
