    Latest 4wd Action mag

Has anyone read the Defender write up in the latest 4wd Action mag, good read 3 pages of blowing sunshine up it's tailpipe saying it's the most fantastic thing since sliced bread, even to the point of putting out a challenge to 4wd clubs to get there modified 4wd's find a tough track and be prepared to have the smiles wiped of there faces it's that good.
I love the part where they say that anyone who knocks a Defender has not obviously ever driven one offroad and doesn't know what they are talking about.

Was this where they talk about it's useless torque curve, how it struggles up steep hills because it makes peak torque at around 60km/h in top gear?

I stopped buying that mag a LONG time ago.. and it sucks... I loved it when Pat Callinan was at the wheel. All that mag is now is one big long advert..

I don't think my meaning got across, there was no sarcasim there it is a genuinly good article full of praise for Landrover and the Defender in particular. For that mag especially to write that is a good thing and i for one am glad they have. If we as Landrover owners don't like to see our vehicles unjustly flamed in the media then don't flame them when they do write an honest good article, after all they have seen the light now(just hope it does'nt break down on them) let's engourage it.

I think it has changed it's format somewhat of recent time's, its now more of a people's 4by mag with more emphasis on the everyday owner and thier rig , and then they do the feature's as per the 1 on the Defender.
The guy running it is a Rangie man and think he's abit sick of the landie abuse that comes his way.
Not a bad mag, but the $$$ spent on some of those peoples rides are more than your daily driver.
    That's my 2c worth
    Cheers Ean

We still buy the mag, whenever they do a comparison with a landy and something else the landy's always suprise, i havn't read this article yet, but they had one in the last mag against the jeep and live axle cruiser, the cruiser won by a tiny bit simply because it was abit more comfy, it had twin lockers as well. the defer doesn't need twin lockers to be as good as the toyota, imagain if land rover did put factory lockers in them

    TIM.
