    House intercom

    Hi folks

I want to retrofit an intercom into our unit.

Where do you buy these from and does anyone know of which brands are good and which brands to stay away from?

Main reason for it is to be able to monitor the baby's room without the need for wireless baby monitors. We have a unit my sister used and it is no good in our unit. Too much interference. Since it was $250 worth I don't plan on going out and buying a 'better' unit in hope of it actually working properly.

So no need for a front door/doorbell type unit. Just one that can be wired into four rooms.

    Thanks

Some good cordless phones now have a baby monitor function. :: Uniden Australia ::

$150 plus you get a phone with it. All this baby stuff can work out very expensive so good to have a use for it when done.

Thanks for the info guys. We are just preparing him for the real world where you can't pick your nose without it being on camera.

I have discovered though that if I power the transmitter unit from batteries then the interference goes away. Receiver is fine.
Might just do that for at least the time being.
