Thread: Top Gear goes to Channel 9

There's already enough ads on SBS now days.

We get most of Nine's programs via Imparja so I wonder if it will make it here

Wonder if SBS let it go, were simply out bid or not offered season 14

That's great news NOT! Now each segment will be an extra 1/2 hr longer as the ads will be the filler.

Well the show has lost me. NRL broadcasts were ruined when 9 took over.They will do the same to "Top Gear " That's a shame as Top Gear was a great show.

I watch SBS, but I just can't stand WIN.

Looks like I will be giving my internet connection a hiding!

I thought the last season was a big improvement over the first.
They should have got another go at it.

On the wireless over here it said Top Gear Australia was to go to nine,hosted by Shane Warne and Jeremy Clarkson.

Channel 9 will ruin it.

• They'll cut bits out to fit more ads.
• Overlay watermarks.
• Drop episodes, without notice for a Ray Martin special on Shane Warne's new hair piece.
• Have it sponsored by the new Daewoo Riceburna
• Squeeze in more ads
• They'll say it isn't rating.
• Then get Bert Newton to introduce it.
• Then bury it at 11:30pm ( plus or minus 15 minutes)
• Then drop it without notice for an 8 year old episode of NYPDCSIBLUE

Oh well, thank god for the internet.
