    Where to get 4.11's?!

    Hi All

I am wanting to get some 4.11s for the rangie, but apparently there is a backlog with Ashcroft so I cant get any through Rovacraft for a while.

Anyone know of any other good suppliers that have them for a reasonable price? If there are any other brands from the States Im happy to look there too with the current exchange rates...

Or if anyone has some surplus to their requirements and could be convinced to part with them...

    Cheers

    Angus

p.s- what would I be looking at for fitting?

    Could try Ashcroft Direct.
Works out to around $1050 including drive flanges delivered.
    Comes under the GST radar.
Lot of Guys are getting them from Great Basin Rover in the States.

As for fitting it depends on the condition of the bearings & Diff Centre"s, and if you want to have bearings changed regardless.
Around $300 total for new bearings & seals.
Can be time consuming to set them up. Allow minimum of 5 hours labour for setup of both diffs.
Around another 3 or 4 hours to remove and refit the Diff's

I got the bearings changed regardless. The Rear bearings were like new. The Front Maxi Diff needed new shims.
You can save some money by taking the Diff's out yourself.
Either way you will need to budget for around a Grand.

Thanks. I have emailed GBR as their website at the moment seems to be ****ing itself.

I have send ashcroft an email too, but they havent replied as yet. I heard there is a delay too...

I called and spoke to GBR re: 4.11 CWP's , was advised they should land on your door step if sent via US postal service for around $1k.

Should make snapping your standard axles even easier eh Khos??

I think a rovacraft backlog with ashcroft means "we owe them money".....

Yeah I actually got onto them. I am thinking of getting their new 4.14s. They are supposed to be 25% stronger than the 4.11s and come in reverse cut/rotation for the front. With the exchange rate I think I could get them here for under $1k, which is cheaper than Ashcroft.

As an aside, I tried dealing with Ashcroft direct, but they referred me to Rovacraft.
