For long term storage of fodder we cut it with a precision mower, let it dry to around 60% dry matter, Rake into rows, Bale into 6X3X3 then bury it in a pit so is air tight.
This all has to be done as quickly as possible to prevent spoiling from the air and light. Some times we have to go 36 hrs straight
