Put machines and people together and you will eventually have a disaster regardless of who's fault.

I remember the little old lady who put her Winnebago on cruise control, got in the back to make a cup of tea and then tried to sue Winnebago for the damage!

    Go figure.

I love this Forum because we can all discuss topics related to our Land Rovers and what we do with them, camping, touring, etc.
I know MarknDeb were being tongue in cheek, but if it offends and it does then it should be more thoughtfully written, do you see where I'm coming from Pat. There are Americans dying in overseas conflicts, not their fault, it is their Governments fault, I don't mind cynicism directed at a (any) Government, just NOT individuals, Regards Frank.
I know what your saying Frank,it's the reason I'm here too!!.Cheers mate. Pat

Mate had his 351 do this of the freeway. Return spring came of the carby at it went to full throttle. He turned the ignition of as he didn't want to put it in neutral and let it rev out.
Car had power everything and he found himself in a spin. When he came to he was in the scrub on the wrong side of the freeway.
Table on the back seat had hit him in the head during the spin but he was told by the people there that he had spun several times across all 6 lanes and the island just missing the cars trying to get out of the way.
Suffice to say he will not turn the ignition of again when in motion.

We had an old holden that would do this and you would just put both feet on the brake and slow down to a stop, turn it of and then fix the cable. after a week we sorted it out though.
