Soory I can't advise you on how to reverse your bike up a hill. How ever I can help you in ways to load your bike back onto the transporter.

Go buy a $150 Pro-Lift motorcycle jack from Repco. Place jack under bike until side stand is just off the ground. The Jacks come with straps to fasten bike, but I still like to keep thinks safe.
One bike up, spin 180 and lower.
Put helmet on and ride off into the sunset.

Ride to the bottom of the drive, put the side stand down and do a 180 on the spot(pivot on the stand) ride back up.
Your bikes a bit big to be manhandling on a steep driveway.
Even on a light weight dirt bike it's easier/quicker to ride to the bottom of a steep hill and start again than @#$% around on the side of a hill.
Nice bike. I've got the "small" version, just the R1200GS.
To get the bike the right way you definately need to get off it and move it by hand. No paddling. Its definately easier turning it around on a steep slope when facing uphill rather than being stuck facing downhill.
I don't know if I'd call yours the "small" version! Pretty much the same size apart from the larger fuel tank on the GSA. Heavy bike when stationary, but once they are mobile they are incredibly "light".Quote:

Just back from Goolwa beach/Murry Mouth. No reversing required in over 250 Kms :D
Dropped the bike 3 times in the soft sand. By god - it's a handfull 'cause it's sooo heavy.
Anyway - nice morning blat.
