D1 seats will fit as the base is easier to modify to get the seat lower, but I find them no where near as comfy as rangie seats. Would prefer something direct bolt in and approx 50mm lower as my head hits the roof. Plus, ya gotta have the arm rest

My Peugeot 406 coupé come from the Pininfarina factory with full Recaro interior. You are welcome to try the seats in my car and if you like them you can get a full coupé from the wreckers for about $3000 and then we can negotiate some parts of it for me.
It will be a win win deal

    Vern,
I have fitted recaros to both my RRC and now D2.
In my D2 they are no lower than tha OEM as to maintain tha stock rails and seat belt pretensioner I cut the seat mounts just above the seat belt mounts and welded in angle steel to provide a base for the recaros which are mounted from below.
The seats in a D2 are an integral unit with the base, so the result was that the Recaros ended up just about line ball.
It would be impossible IMHO to get them lower without making up complete custom bases. I saw a set at the LR show at Castle Hill on another D2 and it was ugly and heavy, and very expensive.
    Regards Philip A
