Thread: For the Canberra people - Morwood Motors is sort of back.

Most Land Rover people in Canberra will remember Morwood motors of a few years back. They morffed from solely working on and supplying parts older British cars to doing the same but also being the Better Brakes outlet. Later the whole operation shut down and most of the staff and some parts went to ABS Brakes in Townsville Street Fyshwick.

Yesterday while hunting for parts I was driving past ABS Brakes and spotted a Morwood Motors parts and service sign up the front of ABS Brakes. I went inside and enquired and it seems the franchise holder has acquired the rights to the name Morwood Motors and they are back in business operating out of ABS Brakes - seems they have not fully geared up yet and I do not know if they will be the same as the old Morwoods but it would seem that there may now be another option for servicing of older landies in Canberra.
