    and the WWW at large.

Admin (and mods) are still "discussing" ideas,,

could be a "What to do/see when you get to Fraser" type thing,,

    not a trip report,,,,,

    what are your thoughts?
I agree - not trip reports - we have that area already.

Useful things that might be relevant could include....

    1) What to do and see when you get there/on the way.
    2) Any special legal/state requirements for using the particular areas - permits etc for our great deserts, for example
    3) Any special vehicular or personal equipment requirements to be safe in a given environment
    4) Any specific info sources relevant to particular areas - eg. I found a listing of all available water bores along the Gunbarrel. As this traverses the Gibson desert, such info is invaluable.

Looking forward to these forums coming online!

Amy Anderson Reserve on the Bridal Track between Bathurst and Hill End

    Direction from Bathurst

Campsite has a longdrop, easy access to river for fishing and swimming, 2WD access dry weather only.

    Something like this??

I suppose if we are not going to use this part of the forum, do we need it ?

I must admit I thought it had been around longer than (nearly) 3 months, but no posts.

The problem is nobody is clear on what goes in here compared with what goes in trip reports.

    The idea's great.

Maybe a template with the basic standard headings needs to be posted. Then we can cut and paste those and fill in as needed.

Take a look at ExploreOz site Treks section for some ideas on what to include as headings.

4WDing, Camping & Caravanning around Australia @ ExplorOz

For example this on for the Wedge Island Beach Run.

    http://www.exploroz.com/TrekNotes/WA...Beach_Run.aspx

    Important headings would be ;

    Difficulty ( 1-5)

    Start /finish location

    Distance /Time needed

    Description

    Environment

    Map

    Driving Directions

    Permits

    Trek Feedback

    Things to See & Do

    Related Travel Journals

    Preparation
