G'day, does anyone know of any aftermarket seats available to increase the leg room in these beasts? I have just brought the latest Defender 130 HCPU and I am 6'5" and just need a seat with a nice thin back so I can move the seat back further.
P.S. Pistures to come soon

Just had a look at the mud rails and the problem I have is it is a single cab and the seat back hits the bulhead before it runs out of travel
Would raising the seat help at all?
Although, being 6'5" there's probably not mush to play with there either.

I'm every bit of your height, I've only ever driven two vehicles that allowed the seat to go back further than I needed; Renault 16 and Western Star Constellation.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

I could go up a bit and probably will. I was thinking of those fairly thin backed bucket seats as the new seats are almost 5 inches thick at the back. Very comfortable but a bit of overkill I reackon. I'd rather sacrifice some back padding for some leg room.
I'm 6'1" and I made up my own seat rails for my 130 DC. They're only 30mm high, but the difference is quite noticable. I realise you can't go back in a single cab, but I think you would still deffinately benefit from the extra height.

Oops, didn't think single cab!
Can you adjust the tilt on the seat backs of the Defender. I know the 130 DC has brackets locking the seat backs into position that can be removed. Have they done something similar to the seats in the HCPU. If so you may be able to remove this and bring the seat back more upright.

I'm trying to reduce the amount of upright angle I have. The more apright the less lumbar support. If I move the seat forward to enable me to lay the seat back...guess what....no leg room. It actually the very top of the seat back that contacts the back of the cab at the midway point of the rear window to the point the window seal is bulging from pushing the seat hard against it.
One other thing to review might be the seats ofered by Exmoor Trim (Welcome to Exmoor Trim) but I don't know who would stock any in Australia and I wouldn't want to buy one blind in the hopes it was better. Trouble is I think most atfer market seats may actually be worse (thicker).
That's me out of ideas then. I didn't think my previous suggestion was going to prove useful. Oh well.
