yep its certainly an option... and to be honest the way that things are landy wise this side... it may be necessary... what about pits? for registration they dont like oil leaks do they? and it is a landrover... hehe

    Thanks

    Steve
For one as new as you are looking at it should have no issues - especially if you buy from a state where annual RWCs are needed.

Taking an interstate vehicle over the pits is fairly easy. Nobody told me about the immobiliser requirement, and the inspector didn't like the (factory) exhaust exit point (insisted it had to face down... ) - but apart from that no big deal.

Have you thought about flying over to this side, buying vehicle and driving back ??

I remember when I was looking for a dual cab and going round to see all that was available, there was a chap who was always in front of me looking at the same vehicles.
I eventually found the right vehicle only to be told by the same man he'd just purchased it three minutes previously As it turned out he'd flown over from Perth to find the right vehicle and was taking a week to drive back. He said the same thing, nothing available locally !!

    Hi Steve
I know of a pristine Extreme that WAS up for sale.I last spoke to the owner a few years ago whilst they were in town.It seems they still have it as I got an email from them a couple of weeks ago.
They are a retired couple, the fender is dark blue and Im pretty sure they are from up your bit of Perth.
If its up for sale still its well worth a look.
I will PM you their Email addy, you can ask if its still up for sale.
It will cost you a Dhu Fish excursion if you get it
    GOODLUCK

Yep had a brief look and as long as we could take the time off, it wouldnt be an issue.. they seem to turn up in fits and spurts here.. but most we have seen have been as rough as!

There is one in town that MAY be forsale,Im told the owner is wanting to catch up with me to find out about D2 TD5s.
