    88 inch series forward control

Has anyone ever seen or have a picture or heard of 88 inch series forward control. I visited the HMS Ark Royal in about 1987 or 88 when I was a navy apprentice and the Atk was in Sydney.
On the doc the had what looked like a shorty forward control that they had unloaded to get around in. I never took a picture or asked what they were.

I have an 80" rolling chassis that the PO converted to forward control, fitted it with a falcon 6cyl. It was about as tall as it was long and very very dangerous!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I have an LRO mag in my collection somewhere which has a writeup on the 88" FC...

    Apparently it wasn't especially stable.

Since the 101 is prone to doing nose wheelies when going down steep hills, I would hate to see what the 88" FC is like.

I'd read somewhere recently that 1 88 fc was trialed by land rover, but it enjoyed handstands too much.

Never seen a photo of one though.
