Any child/family friendly pubs in Canberra?
We're heading down to Canberra for the day on Sunday & are wondering if there are any decent family type pubs around?
Usually we go to the All Bar Nun in O'Connor as the food is great there (+ they serve food all day) but it's not too good for Little Scouse as he's running around a lot more than last time we went.
I don't really know the backstreets of Canberra all that well & most of the shops/pubs seem to be off the main drags so that means I usually miss them when driving through.
Any suggestions would be great.
**Bakeries are another option too - any decent ones around?
I can use Google Maps to find a decent park to have lunch in

The club in Gunghalin has a kids play area with a big window into the bistro. Bit soulless though.

IIRC ...from my formative years there and generally "happy" returns on occasion.... some of the clubs are quite family friendly...The Hellenic club at the Woden Town Centre (special place for littlies to run around safely), Canberra Southern Cross club (several venues around Canberra..) their "Henry's" at Woden town Centre especially set up for small children... they're both on the Net... not sure about signing in "interstate" visitors if not accompanied by a member however unless you're a member of a (listed) reciprocal club.
Eastlake (AFL) Football club in Griffith .. pretty laid back /excellent food / not sure about children however...but worth a call... they have/ (had) a clever temporary membership which costs you just a few $ ---you then take the temp card to the bar and redeem the cost in free drinks...
enjoy the day!
