As other have said or suggested, the reason you need to be careful is not because it is a a white-tailed spider bite, but because it is a bite.

OK well answered but maybe I'm a sceptic I have seen the results of a bite from one. Also I have been bitten by a redback with only minor discomfort.But I know of one bloke who was bitten on North Stradbroke Island here in SEQ.He was nearly dead when the air ambulance got him to the mainland hospital.So horses for courses,it depends entirely on the individual.

Factor in also location, nutritional health, exposure to bacteria, exposure to viruses, how much abuse you have given your body, how fit you are, how healthy you, existing co-morbitities..... etc etc

We look basically alike but there are huge differences at times

Yep, quite correct and that's in the guideline too.

It's also why I thought it best to supply the link to the NSWHealth Guideline rather than transcribe the whole document and all the various species contained therein.

Much more reliable than something like Wikipedia which anyone can supply their unsubstantiated myths.

and this was written by a doctor and they lie i'm liveing proof i ment to be dead 4 time over and not be able to move my legs but if you want i can kick you (and cause of that last reson i carn't get a doctors clearance to work)

With the re-occurrence every year ,How would you possibly see that happening?????? It's not like the venom stays dormant & pops back out, there for the logical thing is to conclude it has bugger all to do with the spider & probably some germ that appears around a certain time of year.

Bullrout and stonefish injuries give annual recurring symtoms too, so it's not unique. The treatment of recurrant symptoms is the same as the initial first aid.

Must read more into it & see how it is possible, just doesn't SEEM to make sense, but not everything does I guess.


Can you give me some links as i can't find anything on recurrent stings.
