I remember a few years ago, there used to be a guy in Wentworthville, that sold Land Rover parts from his house. He also used to advertise in the LROC Sydney magazine.Since I have been away from the scene for a while,I no longer have a copy of an old magazine, nor remember the name he traded under.Just wondering if anyone knows if he is still there and trading ?
He was also a member of the LROC and carried out repairs at home.So hopefully a LROCS member will be able to enlighten me.
Thanks

speaking of parts Erich, I followed with fascination your recent build log of the 130. Very impressive as everyone has said. what I'd like to know is the name of the fabric you used as headlining and where to get it from and what quantity you used for the 130 . Thanks Don

The material we used known as to as 'Front Runner"
This was a spur of the moment thing. We needed to replace the roof lining as the original had mildew. Had half a roll of this in the workshop, left over from some exhibition years ago, so we thought we would see how it looked as a roof liner (It cost nothing). The material is fully washable.
As it turned out we were very satisfied with the results. I have never done any upholstry work before. We used about 1 1/2 litres of contact to fix it directly onto the roof.
We used the original material as a template to cut out the correct shape.

Thanks to everyone,Range Parts was who I was thinking of.Used to have cheap genuine parts when I had my Rangies,so I thought I might give him a try now that I have my Defender, also liked the fact that he was an ex army mechanic used to working on Rovers, and was able to do repirs at a good price if you so required.

Peter is probably one of the best Manual gearbox re-builders around. He can shim up a R380 blind folded.
