seen it in 3d and 2d

easy plot, almost in the same catagory of "leave your brain at the door" of zombieland.

Definately worth doing in 3d but a lot "meh" in 2d

    different class of movies.

a bit like comparing a landrover to a toyota....

actually nothing like that both the movies are good......

lets try comparing a disco to a deefer.

Are you serious? District 9 is... just terrible. Pathetic plot and acting and just completely unbelievable... I guess the same as Avatar. But Avatar is not brilliant for the story or acting its 'Good' because (is it the first?) movie to be shot in 3D (2 camera) without really being an ad for 3D... or at least it didn't feel like an add/promotion/demo to me.
Mr Cameron was not trying to poke my eye out throughout the entire movie like other 3D films I have seen, the 3D was use to create a more immersive experience bringing you into the movie instead of throwing bits of it out at you. So to Mr Cameron... stick to directing and leave the writing to people who can like David McKenna and Quentin Tarantino.

I agree, tried to watch district 9 last night, couldn't work out if it was meant to be a comedy or what at the start
    Didn't watch it all.

I like seeing all the different opinions on movies

theres actually quite a lot of subtle stuff buried amongst the obvious politcal referencing. (in D9 that is)
