Merry Christmas from a Frozen Scotland

Currently in freezing cold Glasgow where it doesn't appear to have risen above freezing since we arrived.

Snows are a shock to the system as it the layer of ice and runny nose.

Shame I've had to leave the Disco and the Defender back in Brisbane - though I don't think the Defender heater would have known what to do!

Best bit of all is the number of Land Rovers on the roads over here. I'd forgotten that the World isn't dominated by Prados and Patrols as in Aus but Discoverys, Defenders, Range Rover Sports and Freelanders rule the roads in terms of 4x4s - (if you exclude the X5s).

Pressed my nose up against the window of the local Dealership - I'll have one of each please and none of this having to wait months for a delivery.

    G'Day White 110 : ))
Geez mate, the Balmy climes of Glasgee is a long way from29-30c, high humidity and daily storms (until Tuesday anyway).
    It's been quite pleasant lately.
Nice to have a white Christmas though ; )
Cheers for the New Year, Dave.

For all those Scottish folk out there - just got in from wandering around George Square, though I gave the ice skating rink a miss. Good pint of 80/- though!!

I was the only one looking like a Michellin Man, with fleece, coat, wooly hat, gloves & scarf - the locals don't seem to notice it.

Spotted a Prado in down town Glasgow - quite a novelty I thought after being the only Defender amongst a sea of Prados last time I was on the Moreton Island ferry!!

Well if you are thinking of heading down south to Yorkshire, give us a shout and we will show you round and pay back some of the hospitality shown to us by forum members when we were out in Oz.
    Regards

Just off Cathcart Road between Queens Park/Cross Hill

However, the head has just fallen off the kid's snowman so maybe Al Gore was right after all
