Or you took more notice at school than you're prepared to admit. I've never tried an illegal drug in my life, but struggle with spelling.

Mostly, I wanted to know, still do. I read alot.
As for work, I wanted to be a boundary rider or a lighthouse keeper.
    Never been inside a lighthouse.
Learnt many skills to become self suffient.

Now of course, I know exactly what I want to do !!
I want to come back a long time ago and be a drover in the very remotest
    parts of the country.

    Fingers crossed.

Like Ron I do not do drugs. At school I wanted to be a medical doctor but quickly realised thatmy grades were not good enough, so I tried to become a General Nurse after School [at the time Male General Nurses were rare, only three hospitals in Sydney training male nurses at that time.] Also seriously thought about becoming an ambulance paramedic. Finally settled to become a Pathogy Technician.

If I could live my life over again I would become a Helicopter Rescue Paramedic/Pilot.

    Hi,
At 16 I got my dream job of photography with a Govt film unit.
    Then came Vietnam and conscription.
No way was I going to even risk conscription to Vietnam, so I joined the RAAF as a photographer.
Ended up for a few years processing aerial photos of the place, and am very glad I avoided being sent there.
Got out of the RAAF after first 6 years and back to Tasmania as a photographer with the local Uni - great job - and they paid well, but the computer, data projector and MS PowerPoint eventually killed the demand for photography after about 30 years.
I was lucky enough to have enough computer knowledge to start working in IT support, did a lot of night school and hit the books pretty hard and was able to be usefully employed looking after about 200 computers for one of the faculties for the last 10 years.
I retired at the end of November a few weeks ago and am loving it.
Never been so busy, so much to do that I want to do, and when I want to do it.
    Brilliant.
Now I have decided that all along I must have wanted to be retired when I grow up.
    cheers

I thought you wanted to be a tear-a-way, and that you had succeeded.
