    Williams unemployment rate

    Hey Guys
    Just letting you know WE arent sucking up our share of the countrys dole payments.
    Was an article in this mornings West Australian.
    Our unemployment rate(Williams) is rated at one of the lowest in the country,a HUGE 0.7%!!!!
    No wonder we can never get hold of any casuals!!!!
    There was another shire a few hundred ks away,Kent came in at 0.5%

    kinda like one of the towns around here...... only one house in the entire town that isnt owned by the mine, and that belongs to the butcher so if youre not working for the mine, you either live in the caravan park or you dont live in the town.... and not too many people can afford the caravan park without a job.....

    mythical towns.

    just watched a program on some place that cant get staff so rely on backpackers. some other station owners saying they advertise but never get anyone. PHA what a crock, Google gives nothing, there never any jobs like that in the papers and if there is something like that it pays 1 bigmac an hour bla bla. its just all feel good aussie propaganda.

    No company housing here,shire rents out 8 houses to shire employees,the rest is private owned/rentals.
    It is hard to get a rental,and yes extras are living in the caravan park.

    In and near Brisbane 30% to 50% & more of permanent residents of caravan parks are in receipt of benefits or pensions. In many parks no more than 1/3 of permanent residents have employment of any kind, casual, part time, or full time.

    Thats because its not "unemployment" if your on disability, parental welfare, Austudy etc
