OK - better... (or at least just as good). NB - this is my opinion - and I tend to prefer ales and dark beers...

In no particular order:
Little Creatures Pale Ale
Pemberton Ale
Knappstein Lager
Franziskaner Dunklesweizen
Schoefferhoffer Dunklesweizen
Coopers Extra Stong Premium Ale
James Squire IPA
any of the beers from the Voegelbrau - but especially their Maibock/Doppelbock/Maerzen
any of the beers from the Forst brewery in northern Italy - but especially their dark/heavy beers
Duvel
Orval
Rochefort - any
Chimay - trippel /brun
A bunch of other belgians whose names escape me
Gallo
Negra Modelo
a couple of other Central American / Mexican dark beers whose names escape me
Affligem
EDIT
forgot Fat Tire
and a few other good US beers whose names escape me

I am probably missing a bunch...
I have only tried 4 or 5 African beers - Windhoek, Lion, and a few others - Windhoek was the best so far.

Crown's gotta be a better beer than VB cos it's in a classier bottle!

One of my mission's in life has been to go around the world and seek out bad beers. Ain't found many, I think they are all OK it is just that some are better than others and, all are great when you are in a place where you can't get any...beer.


I agree with your outlook here although I need to mention that SKOLL, a Brazillian beer mutilated under license in the DRC, is a beer that at first tastes like a decent home brew but, similar to VB, after te second bottle the head ache is almost fatal. This is a beer that I would avoid drinking!!:o

well I reckon a lot of beer tastes like auspice and salt so recycled water will probably only change those marginally.
