Proly better to cook outside using this though;)

the one i used took about a minute to light......
when i was cooking......it didnt seem too hot......hot enough to cook.....but not too quick.....
i will try it with heatbeads soon......and see if they are hotter......its all trial and error at the moment.....
its still a new toy to me......
i just gotta get me the roasting attachment and attempt a roast.....
thay was the reason i went to the camping store.....and they didnt have any.....
also why i asked here if anyone has any accessories they want to get rid of.....
those cocnut shell briquettes were on a shelf on top of the cobb cookers at the camping store so i grabbed a box to try out.....
i found it very very easy to use......
soooo....... i take it no one has any accessories they want to sell........?
So how is it going? Is it like a Weber? Well sort of, and how many types of solid fuel are you likely to use, I mean like hardwood when camping etc.

nah.....ill only use what it was designed to use......so the heat is controlled.....dont want to melt the thing......
ill try to use it again this weekend......but with heatbeads.......and see how it goes with that......
the heatbeads should work at a different temp. but i wont know if they will be hotter than the ecofuel or not......till i give them a go.....
maybe someone else on here has tried both fuels....?
The concept sounds good to me, but of course prior to ditching the camp oven etc, it would be nice to hear from someone whom is new to it to give a, (lay) evaluation! I read the Ho's post and believe what is said, it's just a change of style (camp cooking) that would have to be changed. Perhaps easier than a coaling fire, but the fire has/is a part of camping, then again in areas this is not an option due to restrictions etc. I am at 3 ton in my 110 and this seems to be growing. I can't continue to add. Albeit that I think I could add some other items, but you get the idea

camp ovens are great......but only if you also have full control of the camp fire.....
that is assuming fires are allowed......
with the cobb.....i can sit it next to my car when i go fishing in the middle of suburbia.....and still cook.....but it will have to be sausages again.....
cos when i go fishing....i cant even manage to catch a cold.......
and the cobb weighs a bit less than the camp oven......
i prefer the meals out of a camp oven over the cobb.....but you cant always have a campfire....
that's where a cut down 9kg gas cylinder comes in handy...heat beads on bottom, add camp oven, heat beads on top...all contained /controlled. Excellent!!
got any pics of one.....sounds all too easy.......
and plenty of gas cylinders floating around.......

Too small is my only dislike of the Auspig.
