Get over it. It's always going to be a love/hate relationship.

Been there many times.....build a vehicle up...spend big $$....had enough...pull it apart and sell it off.

Next month....wouldn't mind another Land Rover.....WTF?

Get the only model worth having (other than a 2A).....a 110....and GET OVER IT!

Drive it hard....fix it when it needs fixing....love it too death...drive it hard...so on and so forth.
    Cheers

You need to just head out in to the mud and thrash it for a few hours, (don't break it though)
and then save up for some lockers, lockers will always boost your feelings

    Hey Simon!

Its all been mentioned already but I reckon you should just get back out there and enjoy it. Yes driving through rivers and deep mud etc is a little harmful at times, but the vehicles capabilities are part of its attraction.

Keep forging ahead, and don't forget you are learning 'on the job' every time you adjust and repair things yourself.

If you're going through an non 4wd phase at the moment then go with that and forgive yourself. Take the car and a special or not so special friend out in to the back of beyond and just have an obligation free camp. It doesn't have to be a mission, where you conquer every mud hole, climb every pile of rocks in a 20 km vicinity like you going in the G4. You might not even lock the centre diff. Sit yourself down under a tree and pull the lid off a couple. At night you'll see some stars. Just use the car to get you where you want to be and park the thing until it's time to head home.

That is good advice and something we all should do.
