Some good advice here mate... And I say keep it....

You're young, and sometimes it all feels like hell... We've all been there...

But at the end of the day, its all experience and these are what shapes us

I had a hell of a time a few years ago, but knuckled down and kept trying to move forward....

Best of luck with your decision making.

Mate, as has been mentioned, make a list & prioitise it.

Take some time out, and really consider your options.

If you keep it, it might cost you a few more $$$, but it will be a car you know inside out.

Should you decide to off-load it, you will no doubt loose money on it, but your headaches will be gone too.

Only you can decide what is the best course of action.

For what it is worth, me & the Mrs went thru a period of changing cars fairly regularly. What? It needs new tyres? Lets buy a new car instead.

It put us deeper & deeper into a hole, that eventually we had to climb out of. When we did knuckle down, we had a Magna that survived 13 1/2 years with us. These days, we buy new tyres & not a new car.

All the best with whatever you decide, and remember:

Never loose sight of the bigger picture.
Never loose sight of what you set out to achieve.

No vote from me as it is your (and Lexi's) call. Whatever happens (Disco or not) would still be great to see you around here every now and then.... maybe catch out on some tracks.

I guess that when the car is a lemon it will be a lemon for ever

I would sell it and start with a "blank canvas" again.

Look for something that it was look after with "tender love and care" and for sure you will be Ok.

I love the LR's do not give up on the brand

    All the best

You need to sit down and rationally have a thought experiment.
    Your options are a:sell b:keep.
You need to have a little controlled fantasy to answer the if then question, as in
imagine if you sold it, what would happen then. Your frustrations may be solved, but would you miss it, would you buy another, could you buy another crappy car, could you then get a goodie, etc etc.
Do the same for the scenario where you didnt sell it.
And then compare, which of the two options is likely to give the best result. And what is, for you, the best result?
If then, two powerful words that keep the world spinning
Bear in mind, the 80 year old scenario, When I were young I had a land rover, gave me hell it did but I worked it out by...... Not like the young fellers today, wouldnt know etc etc

How? Its not voodoo... Its a mechanical entity.

If you repair, replace etc properly then eventually it will no longer be a lemon.

    Plus, consider this...

    Better the Devil you know.....

My thoughts exactly....with the troubles I have had with mine....I know what's been done and know it's been done right. Mine's a keeper, and it's only going to get better.

    Hang in there mate...

Thanks all for your input. Thing that really ****s me the most is having to pay so much money which i didnt have in the first place and the thing is still running like ****!

Just pretty much turned down a full time job (Another **** up in my life) due to we coudnt work out a plan for myself and my wife to both work as i would not be able to make it home in time for her to go to work. I love what i do for a living and dont want to go and do anything else for work BUT theres just nothing out there especialy around the western sub's of melbourne. Now i'm not lazy and i'm not picky i love what i do as a auto assembler. Hense if i keep the rig i wont be able to afford the repair cost's every ****ing month when something goes wrong as it has been doing.

if i was going to sell it what would i ask for it??? i know i wont get back the money i have spent and just put it down as another ****ing loss to the long list of **** up's in my life so far.
i'm not giving up on the landrover name cause i wanna get either a d2 or a defender for the next car. HOW YOU SAY!!! with the situation i'm in right now, well thought of selling the d1 and getting whatever for it and using that money as a down payment for another landrover and just pay the thing off as i done before. Thats if they still do that sort of ****.

Not blaming the car but who should i blame???? i mean its got basically a new engine, i'm pretty much changed everything in the bloody engine bay (More than once) and i'm still having problems!!!!!!

    SO WHO'S TO BLAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
