Thread: Motorola Xoom.

My wife has just bought herself a Motorola Xoom ... what mapping software works on this ?
Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

It's running android so you've got a bit of choice:

Memory Map
OziExplorer
Androzic

I'm sure there are others. Ultimately it comes down to the mapping, so check out what is available for the apps are interested in and make your decision in that basis.

I've used both memory map and ozi on windows ce and MM is definitely the easier of the two to use. OziCE is feature packed but it is very cluttered , although I understand the Android version improves on the WinCE version in this regard. Memory Map on the iPhone is a huge improvement over the WinCE version, so I'd imagine the same applies to the Android App.

If you don't have an investment in Ozi mapping Memory Map is possibly the better option. As an example, Memory map already has the 2012 versions of the Hema maps on it's map store, and these were a free update. I havent seen a 2012 Hema raster map DVD listed anywhere as yet.
