Mounted from inside the console sraight up onto a lazy susan
So it can be swivelled around for driver, passenger or back seat passengers

whilst I drive

Can't wait to see what you have done, I am yet to decide what I am going to do.
1 idea I had was to mount the laptop to the cargo barrier & have a 7" screen mounted to the dash & use a cordless keyboard, mouse to navigate my way round the laptop,
I have had a trial run & the keyboard & mouse have enough range, I just have to get a screen.
Will any screen do or does it have to be a special screen to use with computers?? any other problems that I might run into by doing this??

I have tired the laptop out, to mesy, the best options are the PDA or grab yourself a mini itx computer and a 7/8" LCD screen and mount it in the dash, you can get some good ideas from these websites :

Laptop stands.

When I was still using a laptop, I built a flat plate of aluminium, and bolted it to the swivel head of an old camera tripod stand. The head was still attached to the tube which winds up and down, and I bolted the end of the tube to the floor. Meant I could swing it anywhere I chose.

Worked really well for a couple of years, including some pretty rough trips. Now use an in-car computer and a TFT screen.

Cheers,

Roger
