True, but why not update an existing file? I'd assumed Mark had included the address as all the non-dealer names I gave him included the address and phone details.
Nah, it's OK. I don't use Ozi even though I have it.
So I typed it backwards we can't all be as perferct as you.
If you had looked at the POI file done by Mark There are only names and phone number not addresses.

The POI file is for use in oziexplorer and if you use it in that and know what the datum of the points are then you can find the locations
If you need a lesson on how to find waypoints in Ozi i would be glad to help you.

I've never understood why, for normal short forays around the bush, one would use deg:min coords when the grids on topo maps are in AMG. I used deg:mins when I used to plot locations on maritime charts at work.
The AMG grids are also square. Lines of longitude and latitude are not he same spacing on any topo map nor do they remain constant across maps.
If one needs to convert from E-N to deg:mins, it only requires a few presses of the keys on the GPS.

I'm studying a postgrad GIS course and was thinking a while ago that this would make a good project as part of the course . No idea if it would be suitable for the course but it certainly would be handy.
Having a few layers including dealers, LR aftermarket repairers, LR parts suppliers, general public able to assist or that have specific interface equipment in regional/remote areas etc.
Also since we are in Australia we should use GDA94. It is based in Australia using Australian reference points so it should not change over time relative to Australia. Whereas WGS84 will.
However since we are looking for buildings, the difference between GDA94 and WGS84 will not be noticeable.
GDA94 is what our governments use and most industry will use too so no point fighting it.
As for lat/long or UTM I prefer UTM for large scale stuff. That is what it is for after all. Just makes life easier.
Love this stuff.
